Restored Authority
Lk. 9:1-6
At creation God gave man authority over all He had created – to have dominion and to rule. The authority was withdrawn when man fell into sin. Now that man has been restored into right relationship with God through the atoning death of Jesus, authority is handed back to the believer. When Jesus sent out the disciples, He gave them authority over all demons and to cure diseases, to thread upon scorpions and serpents and over all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19). Before ascending to heaven He assured the disciples that all power in heaven and on earth has been given to Him and that He is backing them up till the end of the age. Spiritual maturity is coming to the knowledge that Christ is giving one the authority to represent Him before men. You are not as helpless as you feel because the Alpha and Omega is with you to back you up against all the challenges you face.
Point of Emphasis: Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy.
Prayer Point: Father, give me understanding of the exceeding greatness of Your power available to me.

L’AUTORITE RETABLIE
LUC 9 :1-6
Au moment de la création, Dieu donna à l’homme l’autorité sur tout ce qu’il avait créé, de dominer et de présider. Cette autorité lui fut retirée quand il tomba dans le péché. Maintenant que l’homme a été restauré dans la relation juste avec Dieu par la mort expiatoire de Jésus, l’autorité est restituée au croyant. Quand Jésus envoya ses disciples, il leur donna le pouvoir sur tous les démons et de guérir les maladies, de marcher sur les scorpions et les serpents et sur toute la puissance de l’ennemi. (Luc 10:19). Avant de monter au ciel, il rassura ses disciples que tout pouvoir sur terre et dans le ciel lui a été donné et qu’il les soutient jusqu’à la fin des âges. La maturité spirituelle vient à notre connaissance que Christ nous donne l’autorité de le représenter devant les hommes. Tu n’es pas impuissant comme tu le sens car l’Alpha et l’Omega est avec toi pour te soutenir contre tous les défis auxquels tu es confrontés.
Point essentiel : Voici, je vous donne le pouvoir de marcher sur les serpents et les scorpions et sur toute la puissance de l’ennemi.
Axe de prière : Père, donne-moi la compréhension de la grandeur éminente de ta puissance à ma disposition.
