Plan To Reap Maximum Benefit From Devotion
2 Tim. 3:12-17
One should benefit from time spent on daily devotion because God has planned it that it should be profitable. During devotion, one spends time reading the Scriptures which are ordained for teaching one correct doctrine, for reproof, for correction and for instruction in righteousness. To reap maximum benefit, one needs to make adequate preparation beforehand. No other book, no matter how spiritual, can take the place of your Bible. The Bible is God’s basic means of speaking to us. Use the Bible translation that you can comprehend easily. Provide a pen and writing material to jot down what God says to you as you read and meditate. Use a Bible reading plan, which helps you navigate reading the Bible. Try not to miss your devotion time but if you do, do not give up.
Point of Emphasis: If you fail to plan for your devotion time, then you plan to fail.
Prayer Point: Let Your word have its full impact upon my life, oh God. Correct me, reprove and instruct me in Jesus’ name.
