God’s Perfect Plan For The Church
1 Cor. 1:10
The Scripture says the church is the house of the Living God. It is the pillar and ground of the truth (1 Tim. 3:15). It is a place where the truth of God, truth about God’s kingdom and truth about godly relationships, first between members of the body of Christ, and second between believers and unbelievers, are clearly taught and upheld. In today’s passage, God’s plan for members of His church is to speak the same thing, meaning that they should hold the same “doctrines” or “fundamental beliefs”, and not necessarily expressing the same word order. Also, God doesn’t want division or disunity among His people and He wants them to be perfectly joined together so that unbelievers will not be able to come in between them. Anything less than this is short of God’s plan for His church.
Point of Emphasis: I beseech you brethren that you speak the same thing.
Prayer Point: Lord, help me to live in the centre of Your perfect plan for my life and in the church.
