Be Motivated By The Reward
Heb. 12:1-4
One of the motivating factors that makes people want to do more or succeed in their endeavours is the reward. Reward is something desirable given in return for what somebody has done. It is a benefit obtained as a result of an action taken or a job done. Jesus at a point prayed to God to allow the cup (suffering) to pass over him, but when He remembered the reward attached to offering himself on the cross, He quickly added “Lord, not as I will, but as You will”. Because of the joy and reward awaiting Him, He endured the cross, He despised the shame of dying like a criminal. Today, there is no nation of the world where people are not calling upon His name for salvation and many other blessings. There is a reward awaiting you also if you will do what God asks you to do.
Point of Emphasis: Beloved, your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
Prayer Point: Lord, I will not lose my reward as I work for You.
