Assist One Another

Gal. 6:1-10

In a good and healthy family, if one of the members is suffering, all other members will pool their resources together to assist the person. This must also be seen in God’s family. if any member is overtaken in a fault, those who are strong spiritually should not make jest of him or her, rather they must find a way of restoring the person to the faith. They must do it with humility knowing that he that thinks he stands should take heed, lest he falls (1 Cor. 10:12). Also, if it is in the area of physical need, we must do good to all people, but we must give priority to our fellow brethren who are members of God’s family with us. Let us try out best to assist one another in all good things.

Point of Emphasis: Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ (v. 2)

Prayer Point: Lord, help me not to close my eyes to the needs of fellow believers.
