Don’t Stereotype God
Exo. 17:1-7; Num. 20:7-8
One of the mistakes Moses made was that he thought God was bound to solve a problem with the means and method He had used before. Israelites had experienced lack of water before and God instructed Moses to strike the rock for water and water came out (Exo. 17:5-6). At Kadesh when they still faced the same problem, God told Moses to speak to the rock, but he struck the rock twice, probably thinking that why speak when striking was what brought result the other time. Many Christians also make this mistake. Let us know that God has one thousand and one ways to solve a single problem. He is dynamic and creative. His ways are past finding out. Just do whatever He tells you and you will have the desired result.
Point of Emphasis: Whatever He tells you, do it (Jn. 2:5)
Prayer Point: Lord, I may not understand, but whatever You tell me, give me the grace to do it for my good.
