Give No Place To The Devil
Eph. 4:27; Jam. 4:7
The ten different plagues with which God demonstrated part of His power in Egypt and the responses or attitudes of Pharaoh in each of those plagues are typical examples of how the devil operates in the world. Pharaoh was a type of the Devil who will not allow his captives to be delivered. He puts his victims into perpetual bondage and if at all they want to get their freedom through a superior power, the devil wants to negotiate that freedom so that the people will not be totally free. No wonder Paul wrote to the Ephesian Christians never to give place to the devil. Be watchful not to dine with the Devil. You cannot succeed in the ministry if you are still toying with sin, for through it, you will become a lawful captive to the Devil. Don’t play with the Devil, rather fight him in God’s power.
Point of Emphasis: Avoid negotiation with the devil.
Prayer Point: Lord, I will not enter into the trap of the Devil. Give me victory over his power.
