Ministers Are God’s Servant
1 Cor. 3:5-9
Paul raised a rhetorical question which he also answered himself. He said, when you are dividing yourself along the lines of different ministers, who then is Paul, and who is Apollos? He answered that they both are ministers of the gospel through whom people have been saved, followed-up, cared-for and matured in Christ. They are instruments in God’s hands to bring God’s blessings upon His children. They performed different roles as a result of different graces and gifts bestowed on them, but for a common purpose, which is God and His kingdom. And though they differ in styles and ministration, yet they are one in Christ (verse 8), and each one of them will receive his own reward according to his own labor. Why then would you cause division in the church by loving one minister and relegating others?
Point of Emphasis: God’s ministers performed as the Lord gave to each one (verse 5)
Prayer Point: Help me to love all ministers equally with their different styles and anointing, oh Lord.
