Giving With The Right Attitudes
2 Cor. 8:9-15
God promises to reward those who give towards His work and to other people but givers must have the right attitude. One must give willingly; it should not take the ministers pressurising, threatening or cajoling before one gives. One should give thoughtfully; think of how good God has been to you and decide on your own what to give. When you give, give cheerfully and not grudgingly. God loves a cheerful giver. Give sacrificially to the work of God; do not be stingy in giving to God since He will pay you back. Do not compete with others; give according to how much God has blessed you. God does not compare you with another person in matter of giving but by what fraction of your worth you have given. Give expectantly because God has promised a harvest. Always remember that God gave you all that you possess, do not be selfish in your thought.
Point of Emphasis: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly and he who sows bountifully will reap bountifully.
Prayer Point: In the name of Jesus, I will not lose my reward because of wrong attitude to giving.

DONNER AVEC L’ATTITUDE QUI CONVIENT
2CO. 8 :9-15
Dieu promet de récompenser ceux qui donnent pour son œuvre et à d’autres personnes mais les donateurs doivent adopter l’attitude qui convient. L’on doit donner de bon gré; ce n’est pas aux ministres de mettre la pression sur nous, de nous menacer ou de nous cajoler avant que nous ne donnions. L’on doit donner pensivement; pense à la façon dont Dieu t’a été bon et décide tout seul quoi donner. Quand tu donnes, donne avec joie et non avec tristesse. Dieu aime celui qui donne avec joie. Donne à l’œuvre de Dieu de façon sacrificielle ; ne sois pas avare en donnant à Dieu étant donné qu’il te le rendra en retour. Ne rivalise pas avec les autres; donne en fonction de ce que Dieu t’a béni. Dieu ne te compare pas avec une autre personne quand il s’agit de faire des dons mais avec la fraction de la valeur avec laquelle tu as donnée. Donne avec espoir car Dieu a fait la promesse d’une moisson. Souviens-toi toujours que Dieu t’a donné tout ce que tu possèdes; ne sois pas égoïste dans ta pensée.
Point essentiel : Celui qui sème peu moissonnera aussi peu et celui qui sème abondamment moissonnera abondamment.
Axe de prière : Au nom de Jésus, je ne perdrai pas ma récompense du fait de mauvaise attitude à donner.
