Receiving Direction and Guidance
Ps. 32:1-8
God still speaks to His children who care to wait upon Him and listen to Him. Devotion time is time to listen to what God has to teach us. It is time to learn to be sensitive to instruction and guidance from God. Secret things belong to God but those things which are revealed belong to us (Deut. 29:29). Time of devotion is time for divine revelation and unveiling of mysteries, gift of accurate discernment (Heb. 5:14). Without divine guidance, you are left to grope as a blind man through the maze of life, often falling into pits and stumbling along the way. Direction from God often prevents needless pain and unnecessary suffering. It is also a time of waiting upon God to renew strength to face day-to-day challenges and power to do exploit for God (Isa. 40:31). It is also time for strengthening of faith and to develop unusual capacity to take God at His word.
Point of Emphasis: Do not be like the horse without understanding but wait upon God to receive guidance.
Prayer Point: Instruct me Oh God and teach me the way to go. Guide me with Your eyes.
instruct me oh God and teach me the way to go.
