Don’t Be A Selfish Leader
Exo. 32:7-14
There are some people who are in the ministry not because of God’s calling but because of what they can gain from it. Some have joined one ministry or the other because of unemployment. What do you expect of such people? They are the ones who usually commercialise religion. They don’t care for the souls of people but for their pockets. These are selfish leaders who do not feed the flock but rather feed on the flock. When God decided to wipe out the Israelites and make a great nation of Moses, the latter refused the offer and interceded before God to spare them. He had the kingdom mindset. He was not self-centred. After all he would have benefited more if God had carried out what He intended. He had the interest of others at heart. He was not praying for the destruction of others for him to get to the top.
Point of Emphasis: Love each other… Give each other more honour than you want for yourself (Rom. 12:10)
Prayer Point: Lord, make me a selfless leader, who will not seek personal gain at the expense of others.
