Obey God’s Commandments
Exo. 20:1-17
God gave laws to man, not to put any burden on man, but to assist him to regulate his conduct and not cross the boundary for which God will be justified to punish him. It is often said that all the commands of God are for man’s benefit so as to avoid unnecessary pain and discomfort, and also to have harmonious relationship among ourselves and to have a peaceful society where there will be orderliness, love and mutual respect. God doesn’t have a wife that anyone can snatch or commit adultery with. But if anyone commits immoral sin with another man’s wife and dies in the process or contacts deadly disease, he will have himself to blame, not God. Do all to obey whatever command God gives you.
Point of Emphasis: God’s commandments are not grievous (1 Jn. 5:3)
Prayer Point: Grace to obey all Your commands for my benefits, grant to me Lord.
