God Is The Sanctifier

Lev. 20:1-8

Many people pride themselves in their self-righteousness. They list a number of good things that they are doing with their principles or determination and they justify themselves that they don’t need God to be morally upright. Know that any good work without God and outside of God is a waste of time. Moreover, it does not matter what grievous sin you have committed or how many laws of God you have broken, just as the people in today’s passage, God is giving you an open invitation that you should come to Him, consecrate yourself and be holy. Start keeping and performing God’s statutes and He will sanctify you, for He is your sanctifier.

Point of Emphasis: Only those that God sanctified are truly sanctified.

Prayer Point:            Lord, help me to do Your will that I may be sanctified by You.

DIEU EST LE SANCTIFICATEUR

LEV. 20 :1-8

Beaucoup se vantent de leur autosatisfaction (en matière de droiture). Ils dressent la liste d’un certain nombre de bonnes œuvres qu’ils font à travers leurs principes ou leur détermination et s’absolvent eux-mêmes en affirmant qu’ils n’ont pas besoin de Dieu pour être moralement probes. Sache que toute bonne œuvre sans Dieu ou en dehors de Dieu est une perte de temps. De surcroît, cela n’a pas d’importance quel que soit le péché grave que tu ais commis ou le nombre de lois que tu aies enfreintes à l’instar du peuple en question dans notre passage d’aujourd’hui. Dieu t’adresse une invitation ouverte, que tu viennes à lui, que tu te consacres toi-même et que tu sois saint(e). Mets-toi à garder et à observer les commandements de Dieu et il te sanctifiera car il est le sanctificateur.

Point essentiel : Ne sont véritablement sanctifiés que ceux-là qui sont sanctifiés par Dieu.

Axe de prière : Seigneur, aide-moi à faire ta volonté afin d’être sanctifié(e) par toi.
