And also on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days. (Joel 2:28-29) NKJV

I Will Put My Spirit Within You

Ezek. 36:22-28

When God gave this promise to the Israelites, they were living in rebellion and unrighteousness. However, God said He was going to intervene not because of whatever they had done but because of His great name. He said, He is going to sprinkle clean water upon them to wash them from all their filthiness and idols and cleanse them. He will give them a new heart and then put His Spirit within them. This promise reveals the various step that must be taken before the baptism of the Holy Spirit. There must be total cleansing from all impurities, there must be circumcision of the heart – salvation and sanctification and then follows the Holy Spirit baptism. This is the order and not the other way round.

Point of Emphasis:     It is God who gives the Holy Spirit not by mechanical imitation.

Prayer Point:              Lord, help me to walk in Your statute by Your Spirit in me.

JE METTRAI EN VOUS MON ESPRIT

EZEK. 36 :22-28

Quand Dieu fit cette promesse aux enfants d’Israël, ils vivaient dans la rébellion et l’infidélité. Cependant, Dieu dit qu’il allait intervenir non pas à cause de quoi qu’ils auraient fait mais du fait de son grand nom. Il dit qu’il répandra de l’eau pure sur eux afin de les purifier de leur souillure et de leurs idoles et de les purifier. Il leur donnera un cœur nouveau et mettra en eux son esprit. Cette promesse révèle les divers pas à suivre avant le baptême du Saint-Esprit. Il doit avoir une purification radicale de toutes impuretés. Il doit aussi avoir la circoncision du cœur, le salut et la sanctification et ensuite vient le baptême du Saint-Esprit.

Point essentiel : C’est Dieu qui donne le Saint-Esprit et non pas par imitation mécanique.

Axe de prière : Seigneur, aide-moi à marcher dans tes statues par ton esprit en moi.
