A Clay In The Potter’s Hand
Jer. 18: 1-6
God wanted to show to Judah that He is unquestionable. He thus sent Jeremiah to understudy a potter how he works with clay. As clay is in a potter’s hand so we are in God’s hand. He constantly moulds and remoulds us until we conform to His image. The potter has power over the clay to make whatever shape or size he wants; he might even permit what others may see as defect, provided that it meets its intended use. Likewise, God has power to reshape our lives, if only we will surrender our lives completely to Him. God can turn an ardent criminal into a disciple; He can turn the most promiscuous into a prophetess; and He can turn an arrogant tax collector into a humble evangelist. In addition, the human body is a gallery of God’s artistic design, each part with its unique function.
Point of Emphasis: Every vessel is made with a purpose in mind; a wrong use can lead to inefficiency, dissatisfaction, and short life span.
Prayer point: Oh Lord my father, mould my life according to your pattern and make me more useful to you.
