Be Ready To Take Risks On Behalf Of Your Ministers
Rom. 16:1-5
Several names were mentioned in our text beginning with Phebe whom Paul described as a ‘succourer’ of many including himself. A couple, Aquila and Pricilla were also mentioned. Paul first met Aquila and Priscilla at Corinth. (Acts 18: 2.) They worked together as tent-makers. In our text today, Paul said they had laid down their necks for his life, and that to them all the churches, with Paul, gave thanks. The statement by Paul meant that they took risks on his behalf and was ready to go to any length to defend him and his ministry. We need such people in the church today that will take risk on behalf of their ministers, defend them and criticise them less.
Point of Emphasis: Defend your ministers, don’t criticise them.
Prayer Point: Lord, make me a defender of my church and her ministers. Make me less critical.
