Ascertain Your Purpose
Acts 9:15-16
Identification of your purpose is the very key to your success in life. Why are you doing what you do? What are you living for? Why do you go to where you are headed? These are questions that identify your purpose. Your purpose helps to define your goal whether in life generally, or in career, marriage, ministry, relationships, business or in any life endeavour. Paul’s life purpose was clearly defined after his conversion. He was to be a preacher to the Gentiles, and in so doing he would suffer for Christ. He says, “I have been chosen as a preacher and apostle to teach the Gentiles this message about faith and truth” (I Tim 2:7). It is true that purpose is encapsulated in one’s vision. Your vision gives birth to your goal. Your goal determines your strategies for success. You derive impetus from your goals and you are driven in the direction of your goal to success. When you succeed, you are happy and satisfied. You are joyful. It is, therefore, advised that like Paul, you should identify your purpose in life and pursue it.
Point of Emphasis: Know your life’s purpose, set your goal and design your strategies.
Prayer Point: Lord, give me a revelation of the purpose for my creation.
